Alexandra Boyd has been an actress for 30+ years in her native UK and the USA before turning to screenwriting and directing. Her acting credits include Mr Holland’s Opus (shot in Portland OR), Titanic and From Paris With Love. She spent ten years working in Hollywood before returning to London in 2006. Boxer On The Wilderness is Alexandra’s second film. It’s a teaser/trailer for her feature screenplay The Wilderness. The short was crowdfunded on Indiegogo and premiered for her backers at the Princess Ann Theatre at BAFTA in Piccadilly, London. The film was nominated for Best Short and Best Cinematography in the British Independent Film Festival and shortlisted for Best UK Short in the East End Film Festival. Alexandra makes short films for GR8 AS U R an anti bullying organization. The children in the films are not professional actors but all have suffered severe bullying in some form or other.
