A growing body of research shows a strong relationship between accessible and inclusive neighbourhoods with longer, happier lives, and a reduced burden on our healthcare system. The ability to stay active while aging in our own neighbourhoods and homes has a huge positive impact on individual lives and the economy. It's urgent to better understand and address these complex issues.  Encouraging meaningful dialogue involves identifying neighborhood level evidence-based solutions while also recognizing individual experiences of aging and mobility. "Data can only tell us so much. It's the stories that give us the full picture of what it means to be an older adult, with all its richness and challenges" says filmmaker Callista Haggis.
