I’m a Malaysian-Indian filmmaker from Kuala Lumpur. I’m former video journalist, and completed my Bachelor in Multimedia Communication. Three month after joining Malaysiakini, an online news portal in Malaysia as a video journalist in December 2006, I produced a video on temple demolition. In Jan 2007, I produced a documentary on a modern day slavery about a family who escaped after being bonded labourers for three generations. My documentary about a transwoman and her mother, titled She’s My Son won the Freedom Film Festival in Malaysia. I made a short documentary called Living Jazz with Bill Saxton. it was an Official Selection of the 2013 10th Annual Langston Hughes African American Film Festival In Seattle. Last Spring, I completed the documentary titled The Game Changer. I'm currently working on THE INCARCERATED RHYTHM which chronicles the lives of six formerly incarcerated men as they attempt to reenter the society and begin a new life, not just as a former prisoners but as a confident and skilled modern dancers and members of a dance company called Figures-In-Flight Released.
