After making independent shorts for around 5 years, Kai Smythe was accepted into Victorian College of Arts film school where he won ‘Best 2nd Year Production’ and ‘Best cinematography’ at the VCA awards. After graduating he started work on a feature documentary titled ‘Lost on the road to Shangri La’ about two musical comedians who travel though Asia to write their new musical, which is still in production.  He is in development for the Sci Fi comedy series ‘Rented Space’.
