Mette Thygesen is a filmmaker from Copenhagen, Denmark. She holds a Masters degree in Communication and International Development from Roskilde University in Denmark and she also studied film at Ryerson University’s School of Image Arts in Toronto, Canada. She has worked, written articles and made documentaries in the Palestinian Territories, post-war former Yugoslavia and Sierra Leone. She focuses on telling stories with a social conscience. She is currently in development on a documentary to take place in Tahiti. Copenhagen is her first narrative feature film.
